Transcranial Direct Current Stimulation


Transcranial Direct Current Stimulation (TDCS) is a form of neurostimulation which uses constant, low current delivered directly to the brain area of interest via small electrodes. TDCS was originally developed to help patients with brain injuries such as strokes. Tests on healthy adults demonstrated that TDCS can increase cognitive performance on a variety of tasks, depending on the area of the brain being stimulated. TDCS has been utilized to enhance language and mathematical ability, attention span, problem solving, memory, and coordination.
Clinical therapy using TDCS may be the most promising application of this technique. There have been therapeutic effects shown in clinical trials involving Parkinson’s disease, tinnitus, fibromyalgia, and post-stroke motor deficits.In a recent study, stroke patients with speech difficulties displayed great improvement through a TDCS based therapy, with the improvement lasting past the one week retest.Stimulation therapy could also be developed into effective therapy for various psychological disorders such as depression, anxiety disorders, and schizophrenia. Some researchers are investigating potential applications such as the improvement of focus and concentration

The TDCS Device Kit allows you the freedom to place electrodes where you feel they will do you the most good.There are devices available ranging from $300.00 to $800.00 and up  that have all the bells and whistles. We believe that inflating prices on devices that do the same thing is not in the best interest of the user.. We have developed a Basic Home Device Kit that allows the user the freedom to move the electrodes to areas of the brain that will do the user the most good to achieve the users goals. The size of this TDCS Device allows you to put it in a pocket and have total movement. The user is not restricted to sitting or laying down. You can take it to Work, School etc.
Below is the Prototype Device that we developed. It includes a .0 to 2.0  Milliamps  Meter with a built Fail Safe component that ensures that the Device does not rise above the 2.0 Milliamps limit. This Prototype is still used on a daily basis. (click to enlarge)

The New Portable Home TDCS Device Kit includes Tens Electrodes. Features On/Off button that eliminates a safety concern with turning off your device while it is at the highest setting of 2.0. The device is run off a 9 volt  battery with easy access to change battery. Device has automatic safety shut down as back-up. Device Kit takes 10 minutes to assemble with step by step instructions.

This Kit is not a home made version. The Device has a Circuit Board and built in Safety features along with LCD Light that lets you know when your battery is low. It flashes when your device is turned on also.
